Pony-print garment embroidered patch with partial velvet-thread needle-pile embroidery and saddle motif

This embroidered patch combines printing with needle-pile embroidery: the base is a printed fabric surface, while the pony outline is partially embroidered with velvet-thread needle-pile embroidery. The pile surface is fine and close to a velvet hand feel, with areas such as the saddle highlighted in pile. Print and embroidery are layered naturally for rich dimension and a light, airy style.

Optional techniques: The printed base, motif and colourway can be adjusted to your supplied artwork; pile can be applied as local accents or full coverage; thread options include velvet thread or blended pile yarn; base fabric options include printed fabric, knit, or cotton-linen; the finished item can be an embroidered patch or fabric appliqué, or embroidered directly onto finished garments.
